ARTIST'S STATEMENT

(Insert Text) responds to the site of Bowen Place by creating the illusion of large book spines which appear to have been slotted amongst the abutment wall of the main walkway. These new surfaces are constructed from painted shade cloth. Each apparent book title has been selected for the purpose of prompting thoughts amongst pedestrians, as they move through the transition from the path of the parliamentary triangle to the level of the lake.
