ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Second skin
Covered in battle scars and two-bit armour
the warrior finds peaceful moments
sitting in reflection
digging-up courage and more raw nerve
licking deep wounds
she prepares to rise once more
fighting the next round
beaten and bruised she shines
